What is the Sabbath?

​The Sabbath Day is the 7th day; which is the day the Lord blessed and sanctified (Genesis 2:13) and commanded that His people keep holy (Exodus 20:8). "THE" Sabbath day should not be misconstrued with "A" Sabbath day as The Lord also commissioned other appointed days of rest.

What are some things the Bible says about the Sabbath Day?

​Primarily that it should be remembered and kept holy (Exodus 20:8). It is important to note that this is the only commandment that God said to remember.

Does Sabbath keeping fall under the old law or the new law?

​In actuality there is no "new" or "Old" law. There is only the Law. Jesus Himself said that He did not come to condemn the Law but to fill it to it's full capacity (fulfill).

Did Jesus Christ keep The Sabbath during His life?

​Yes He did. Luke 4:16 accounts that it was His custom to keep the Sabbath.

Will I go to hell for not keeping The Sabbath day Holy?

​This a question that we are asked by man. James 4:17 says "To him that knows to do what is right, and does not do it, he is committing a sin. In accordance to this passage, and other passages of scripture that bear witness to it, we do not believe that a person that has not had the truth of The Sabbath presented to them is not responsible for not knowing the truth. Once you know what is right, and make the choice not to do it, you are walking in the sin of disobedience.

How do I keep the Sabbath day Holy?

​By resting in Him (The Lord) and in His presence. What better way to do this than in His house? Jesus kept The Sabbath Holy by going into the synagogue. We follow His example in this regard and also by resting from labor.
