  • July 1962- New Hope in Christ Church of God, Orlando, Florida was founded by Mother Annie Kate Redding and six other trustees.

  • The doors of this great organization were open to all. The entire assembly accepted what the Lord gave to Mother Redding, and she was named the Chief and founder of New Hope in Christ Church of God. Mother Arlene Polk was appointed Pastor of New Hope from the onset.

  • Prayer services began in Mother Arlenes and Elder Anthony Polks residence on Lake Sunset Drive. Pastor Polk and other trustees started working and soon were able to move the Congregation out of het her home into a store front on Paramore Street.

  • 1972 - The congregation was moved to another store front on Bentley Street and worshiped there for a few years

  • 1974 - Once again, the congregation was moved to the home of Brother John A. Polk at Willie Mays Parkway.

  • March 8, 1974 - The congregation was blessed to purchase property for a Tabernacle located at its current location, 4188 Minoso St in Orlando.

  • February 23, 1975  Overseer Mother Annie Kate Redding was called to glory.

  • March 22, 1975 - The Board of Trustees chose Mother Arlene Polk as the new elected Overseer.

  • October 1975 - By many prayers of the Saints and through hours of hard work, the Tabernacle was completed for worship.

  • December 1975 - The Tabernacle was officially open. Bishop R.B. Hemmingway of New Jerusalem Church of God Orlando, FL was the speaker for the opening dedication service.

  • October 4, 1993 - The Baptismal and Annex were added.

  • December 2002 - Pastor and Overseer Mother Arlene Polk passed the mantle to the newly ordained Pastor John A. Polk.

  • June 4, 2004 - Elder Anthony Polk was called to glory.

  • December 2005  New Hope celebrated 30 years at its current location.

  • November 6, 2010 - Our pastor for 40 years Mother Arlene Polk was called to glory.

  • July 20th, 2012 - New Hope in Christ Church of God Inc. celebrated 50 years of ministry at the Rosen Shingle Creek Hotel in Orlando, Fl.

  • August 17, 2013 – Bishop and Overseer John A. Polk passed the mantle to the newly ordained Pastor Joel L. Polk.

  • April 8th, 2015 - New Hope In Christ Church of God was offically renamed as New Heights Ministries. This echoes the "Higher" decree repeatedly spoken over thecongregation by our Matriarch Mother Arlene Polk.
